Vesta Sammons

Vesta LeFelse Sammons, a beacon of love, kindness, and generosity 79, of Mesquite, Texas, formerly a long-time resident of Cincinnati Ohio, passed away peacefully April 8, 2025. She was born on March 18, 1946, the daughter of the late Roxie Griffith and William Cupp. Lefelse graduated from Holmes High School, In 1951 at the age of 5 she met the fella who would later become her spouse. She was happily Married to Robert “Bob” Jack Sammons Sr. for 61 Years. Together they had two children. She is survived by her Husband, she is proceeded in death by her son the late Robert Jack Sammons Jr. Survived by her Daughter Robin Jane Sammons (Thompson), Son-In-Law Jeff Thompson. Her grandchildren, Joshua Stewart Yothment and Samantha Thompson; As well as other relatives and friends. Lefelse was a member of Landmark Baptist Temple in Cincinnati. She enjoyed Sewing, Painting, bowling, she loved to read. LeFelse loved 50’s and 60’s music, especially Elvis Presley She was a member of the Ladies auxiliary. Lefelse was an EMT for Wyoming Life Squad and was a volunteer for Wyoming Fire Department.

Funeral services will be held 7 PM Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Landmark Baptist Temple, 1600 Glendale-Milford Road, Cincinnati, with Pastor Tom Holman officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM at the church. Graveside services will be held at 11AM Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
