Wanda Lynn Conway, lovingly known as “Nana,” was born on March 22, 1948, and peacefully entered eternal rest at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Carl Conway; her dear mother, Flora Jones (Fleissner); her cherished nephew, Sabin Brothers; and the many other family and friends who went before her.
Wanda’s greatest joy in life was her family, whom she loved fiercely and endlessly. She leaves behind her only son, Chad Conway, who was her pride and joy, and her loving daughter-in-law, Betty, whom she adored and considered a daughter. She leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Amanda Boston, Lauren Stanley, and Carlie Conway, as well as her cherished bonus grandsons, Luke Boston, Robert Stanley, and Aaron Maines. Her heart overflowed with love for her great-grandbabies—Blakely and Avery Boston, and Christopher, Cali, Willow, and Ivy Stanley—who brought her pure joy. Her adored grand-cats, Jax and Jango, who never failed to make her smile and always knew they could get an extra treat from her. Her beloved sister, Mary Brothers, and brother-in-law, Ralph Brothers, are deeply heartbroken by her passing. She will also be dearly missed by her nephews, nieces, “adopted” grandchildren, and extended family whom she held close to her heart. To them, she will forever be Aunt Nana—or simply, Nana.
A proud member of Holy Cross, Wanda worked for over 30 years, serving lunch to generations of students as a cafeteria worker before retiring. Spunky and full of personality, she was the one who made everyone laugh with her quick wit, playful teasing, and honest, spirited way of speaking her mind.
She was spunky, outspoken, and loved her family beyond measure. Her humor was unmatched, and her presence was simply irreplaceable. Nothing made her happier than spending time with the people she loved. We can just see her now in heaven—grinning that big smile, a handful of M&M’s and Ritz crackers close by, watching over us all.
Wanda’s unwavering love, her spunky personality, and her larger-than-life spirit will live on in everyone blessed to have known her. She will be missed more than words can ever say. Memorial Services will be held 6 PM Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, where visitation will be held from 4-6 PM.
