Warren "Wimpy" True, 74, of Burlington, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on March 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 23, 1950, in Covington, Kentucky, and dedicated many years of his life to the profession of truck driving before retiring.
Wimpy never met a stranger and was known for his quick wit, kind spirit, and a deep commitment to his family. His true passion in life was music. He sang and played guitar with various bands throughout the years. He took great pride in providing for his loved ones and relished the simple joys of life spent with them.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 53 years, Bernice, who stood by his side throughout their life together. His sister Sue, and the proud father of son Travis and daughter Amanda (Joe). Wimpy also found immense joy in his role as a grandfather, as he adored his granddaughters, Sophie and Ella, always sharing laughter and moments of love with them.
Wimpy was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur True and Marilyn Stephens, who shaped his early years and instilled in him the values that he carried throughout his life, and his sister Ann.
Warren "Wimpy" True leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and resilience, which will continue to inspire those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of crossing paths with him. There will be no services. Floral Hills is honored to serve the True family.
